COOKIE POLICY
This Mediahub platform (hereafter referred to as the Platform) is provided by EVS Broadcast Equipment
SA, with registered office at rue Bois Saint-Jean, 13, 4102 Seraing, Belgium (hereafter referred to as EVS
or we of us).
1. COOKIES
The present policy aims at informing you about the use of cookies by EVS in Mediahub. This policy can be
modified, e.g. as a result of new functionalities on the Platform that require the processing of personal data.
We thus advise you to check it regularly.
What are cookies?
We collect certain information when you visit the Platform by automated means, using cookies or other
similar tools. This information may include without limitation, the date and hour of your visit, the type of
browser you use, your IP address, your geographic location, the pages visited, as well as data related to
the files you [down/up]load from/on the Platform. The information we collect via cookies and other similar
tools is used in a non-identifiable way without any reference to your personal data.
Cookies are namely small data files which are saved on your computer or device for record-keeping
purposes. They allow a website to recognize your device. Cookies can have several purposes: to ensure
that the website takes into account the user’s preferences by for example remembering language
preferences, passwords and log-in details, to collect statistical data, to adapt the content, etc.
Which different types of cookies do we use?
We use both first- and third-party cookies and session and persistent cookies:
- First-party cookies are those set directly by EVS on our Platform.
- Third-party cookies are set by another domain than the Platform being visited (e.g. Google
Analytics cookies).
- Session cookies are erased when a user closes its browser. They simplify and link a user’s actions
during the browsing session. Session cookies start when you open the browser and finish when
you close it; they are thus temporary.
- Persistent cookies remain on a user’s device for a certain period (e.g. 1 day, 1 month, 2 years…).
They remain present on your device for the lifetime of the cookie. They are activated every time
you visit our website.
EVS uses the following cookies on his Platform:
- Strictly necessary cookies are essential to allow you to visit the Platform, use all of its functions
and guarantee a safe environment.
- Functional cookies are cookies that make your use of the Platform easier, more pleasant, and
ensure that you have a more personalized browsing experience. These cookies allow us to
remember your choices, preferences and favorite setting in order to improve your general browsing
experience. These cookies cannot track your browsing activity on other websites and they do not
gather any information about you that could be used for advertising or remembering where you’ve
been on the Internet outside our Platform.
- Analytical and tracking cookies are mainly third-party cookies from company such as Google
Analytics used to track site statistics and user interaction with the Platform. For instance, these
types of cookies will give us information on how users arrive on our Platform, or how our media
campaigns work. This information is used to evaluate and improve the content of our Platform and
our campaigns and ultimately to improve user experience.
- We do not use any Advertising cookies.
- We do not use any Social sharing cookies, but only plug-ins, which allow to share content on social
platforms (but no tracking is done on our website).
